Clothing The Texas Panhandle is notorious for its rapidly fluctuating weather. PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. recommends dressing in layers to be able to adjust comfortably to any weather condition. 	* The Federal Sandhill Crane Permit can be obtained from the TPWD online (a $5 fee applies), but is otherwise only available at TPWD Austin Headquarters and Law Enforcement Offices located across the state during normal business hours. You can visit www.tpwd.state.tx.us for a complete listing of offices and business hours. For phone requests during normal business hours, please call 1-800-792-1112, option 5, menu 2 or (512) 389-4820. After hours or on weekends, the Federal Sandhill Crane Permit can be obtained online at: www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/licenses/online_sales/ Each sales venue will provide a sandhill crane confirmation number that you can use along with your valid hunting license, state migratory endorsement and HIP certification. Licenses are available in advance from Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept at 1-800-792-1112 Licenses can also be purchased online (RECOMMENDED) at www.tpwd.state.tx.us
	Transportation Hunters will need to fly or drive to Amarillo or Lubbock, Texas. From there, PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. can arrange for rental vehicles at a disounted rate if desired. Unless prior arrangements have been made, transportation to the field is the responsibility of the hunters.
	Accomodations Top rate accomodations at our discounted commercial rate can be arranged with the assistance of PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. Room prices range from $54.00 to $59.00 per room and can accomodate up to 4 people.
