Duck Hunting

PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. offers superb big water and playa lake duck hunting in the Texas Panhandle. Our hunts provide a variety of gunning habitats from thick cattail reeds and flooded timber to open country playa lakes. All hunting is done from boat blinds and layout boats. Early season hunts typically consist of fast paced action for warm weather species like Blue Wing Teal, Pintail, Widgeon, and Gadwall. Our main draw for hunters around the country is our mallard hunting. As the season progresses and cold weather sets in, typical days consist of limit style gunning for big northern green headed mallards and holdover pintails. PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. offers early September teal hunts as well as regular season duck hunts. Full and half day hunts are available for both our early season teal and our regular season duck hunts. Duck Sound File »» Early Teal Season September 11, 2010 to September 26, 2010 Bag Limits 4 Teal Daily Bag 8 Teal in Possession Rates: Early Season Teal Half Day Morning Hunt 3 Person Minimum, 6 Person Maximum $150.00 per person, per day Early Season Teal & Dove Combo Hunt 3 Person Minimum, 6 Person Maximum $250 per person per day with 3 person minimum $225 per person per day with 5 or more hunters Regular Season Duck Hunts 3 Person Minimum, 4 Person Maximum Half Day Morning Hunt $250 per person per day with 3 person minimum Half Day Afternoon or Evening Crane Hunt when combined with a morning goose or duck hunt on the same day $175 per person, per day Regular Duck Season - YOUTH - Oct. 16th & 17th, 2010 - FIRST SPLIT - Oct. 23rd & 24th, 2010 - REGULAR SEASON - October 29th, 2010 through January 23rd, 2011 Bag Limits 6 Ducks Daily Bag 12 Ducks in Possession 6 per day with Hunter's Choice: 5 Mallards, 2 of which may be hens, 1 Pintail, 2 Scaup, 3 Wood Ducks, 2 Redhead, & one in the aggregate of either , 1 Canvasback, & 1 "Dusky" Duck (Black, Mexican, or Mottled duck). Prices above are per person, per day. All hunts include breakfast, lunch, beverages, and bird cleaning. Non-shooters are welcome at one-half the daily rate. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm dates. All deposits made by hunters not in attendance are non-transferable to other members within the group and shall be forfeited to Panhandle's Best, Inc. Balance of payment is due on the day of the hunt. Hunts can be video taped at the request of the hunters for a fee of $75.00.
