PANHANDLE'S BEST, INC. offers sandhill crane hunting over mounted decoys. We do not offer plastic hunts for sandhill cranes because of the extreme wariness of these birds.

The Texas Panhandle offers sandhill crane hunting opportunity for upwards of 500,000 wintering sandhill cranes. The sandhill crane population in the Texas panhandle consists mostly of lesser sandhill cranes averaging in size from 7 – 10 pounds. There are also many greater sandhill cranes in our region which range in size from 10 – 13 pounds.

Panhandle’s Best, Inc. sandhill crane hunts are simply the "BEST". Our sandhill crane hunts take place over 100% taxidermist, mounted sandhill crane decoys. The realism is second to none and our results on our sandhill crane hunts speak for themselves. While crane hunting our hunters enjoy roomy comfortable A – frame blinds and get to experience decoying sandhill cranes like no place else.

Typically, hunters can expect to shoot limits of sandhill cranes on our crane hunts, and quite often, capitalize on some "bonus" geese during the same hunt!

$250.00 per person per day with 3 person minimum
$225.00 per person per day with 5 or more hunters

Half Day Afternoon or Evening Crane Hunt
when combined with a morning goose or duck hunt on the same day
$175 per person, per day


Prices above are per person, per day.
All hunts include breakfast, lunch, beverages, and bird cleaning.

Non-shooters are welcome at one-half the daily rate.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm dates.
Balance of payment is due on the day of the hunt.

Hunts can be video taped at the request of the hunters for a fee of $75.00.
